The order of operations, also known as PEMDAS, stands for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (from left to right), and Addition and Subtraction (from left to right). It is used to determine the sequence in which mathematical operations should be performed in an expression.

To add or subtract fractions, you need to have a common denominator. Once you have a common denominator, you can add or subtract the numerators while keeping the denominator the same.

The Pythagorean theorem states that in a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse (the side opposite the right angle) is equal to the sum of the squares of the lengths of the other two sides. It can be written as a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where c represents the hypotenuse and a and b represent the other two sides.

A quadratic equation is a polynomial equation of degree 2, which means it has terms up to x^2. It can be written in the form ax^2 + bx + c = 0, where a, b, and c are coefficients. Quadratic equations can be solved using methods such as factoring, completing the square, or using the quadratic formula.

In statistics, the mean refers to the average of a set of numbers, calculated by adding up all the values and dividing by the total count. The median is the middle value in a set of numbers arranged in ascending order. The mode is the value that appears most frequently in a set of numbers.

In mathematics, permutations refer to arrangements of objects in a specific order, while combinations refer to selections of objects without considering their order. Permutations involve all possible arrangements while combinations focus on subsets without repetition.
